Well-intentioned as they are, higher ed programs aren’t always the best at communicating what their audeinces care about most. Hands-on experience. Real-world applications. Jobs. I wanted us to sound different. My approach: 1.) Celebrate successes. 2.) Showcase possibilities. 3.) Connect to the university brand. 4.) Meet the audience where they are. 5.) Share dog photos whenever possible.
